Our Brand Story: A Washington DC Branding & Digital Marketing Agency
Moin Agency is a Washington DC–based branding and digital marketing agency helping service-based businesses clarify their brand, strengthen their online presence, and grow with intention.
Stephanie Reimers is the founder of Moin Agency, a branding and digital marketing agency based in the Washington, DC area, serving service-based and professional businesses throughout DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. In 2009, Ms. Reimers founded Reimers Design Studio (RDS), a boutique graphic design studio that quickly gained recognition for its clean, sharp design work and thoughtful digital marketing solutions.
Her work earned industry awards, and the business was successful. But after ten years, Stephanie was looking for a new challenge. That opportunity came in the form of a Chief Marketing Officer role offered by a client. It was the right moment to expand her skill set beyond design and into brand leadership and strategy. She accepted the position, closed her studio, and moved across the country. And yes — it was absolutely worth it.
Working within her client’s company brought a newfound sense of freedom and purpose. Stephanie was leading brand strategy at a higher level, shaping messaging, direction, and growth. People followed her vision because she was confident in her voice and clear about the story the brand needed to tell. While taking on new responsibilities was initially daunting, the role fit her better than she anticipated. Within months, she exceeded her own expectations, helping grow the brand into a living, breathing presence in the market.
It was there she realized something important: this was the work she had been moving toward all along. Brand strategy, storytelling, and long-term growth — not just design execution — were where her strengths truly lived. After successfully guiding that company’s brand, she opened the door to the next chapter: Moin Agency.
So why “Moin”? Why a seemingly simple word for “hello”?
Moin is more than a greeting. It reflects Stephanie’s culture and heritage — something she wanted to share with her clients. A native of Hamburg, Germany, Stephanie moved to the United States at 18, but her connection to her roots has remained strong. Her father spoke Plattdeutsch, or Low German, a dialect that evokes memories of family, warmth, and home. With this one word — Moin — clients are welcomed in a spirit of hospitality, openness, and genuine connection.
It’s simple. Pragmatic. Thoughtful.
